Recently it was announced that Bridgend County Borough Council will receive £300,000 from the Coastal Communities Fund to create a new 4km cycle and pedestrian path linking attractions and facilities in Porthcawl.
The Coastal Communities Fund was established by the UK Treasury. The fund in Wales is delivered in partnership between the Welsh Government and Big Lottery Fund.
Carwyn Jones AM said “I am delighted that the bid submitted by Bridgend County Borough Council to the Coastal Communities Fund was successful. The project will link in with other regeneration schemes in Porthcawl, will draw tourists to the area and provide a welcome boost to the local economy in Porthcawl”.
