On the 22nd November I had the pleasure of presenting achievement awards to a number of ESG members. The various awards were presented to those who had gained new qualifications as apprentices in their chosen careers.
Certificates were presented to seven learners and to three of ESG’s key employers as acknowledgement for their support and for recognising the benefits of employing an apprentice in their workplace. Award categories included Foundation Apprenticeships in business administration, hospitality and social care.
It is a privilege to recognise the achievement of these apprentices and to acknowledge the commitment to workforce development from their employers. Learning new skills or indeed enhancing existing ones has always been important to the growth of a business but particularly so in this challenging economic climate. It is good to see participation from some of the most important sectors in our county borough.
