Letter from Carwyn Jones AM-Thank you to the voters of Bridgend

It is a huge honour and a privilege to have been re-elected to serve as the Assembly Member for Bridgend for a fifth term and I would like to thank voters for their support. I have had the honour of representing the Bridgend constituency since the National Assembly for Wales was first established in 1999. For the electorate to continue to put their faith and trust in me to best serve the constituency of Bridgend at the Welsh Assembly, is very humbling. It was also encouraging to see that turnout had slightly increased from the Assembly elections from five years ago. This is a positive step in the right direction.

Regardless of whether you voted for me or not, I will continue to work hard for this area and to work for the best interests of my constituency.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my campaign agent David Sage and my campaign co-ordinator, Cllr Hailey Townsend, for their hard work and support. I would also like to thank the wider campaign team for all their efforts, pounding the pavements and talking to constituents from Cornelly to Porthcawl, from Brackla to Pyle. Your efforts were hugely appreciated.
