Bridgend AM Carwyn Jones was delighted to welcome Llangewydd School Choir to the Senedd in early July.
The choir consisted of around 40 pupils aged 7-11 years of age. They were very enthusiastic and had clearly worked hard to learn a repertoire of contemporary English and Welsh songs. Music filled the Senedd courtesy of the Llangewydd Junior School Choir. The choir were ably led by Darryl Evans.
Mr Jones said “There was something for everyone including a Take That song called ‘Giants’, songs from Matilda The Musical, including ‘When I Grow Up’, the words to ‘Calon Lân’ sang to the music of ‘Let It Be’ by The Beatles and songs about Wales.”
Mr Jones added “The choir was excellent and attracted quite a crowd including other Assembly Members and members of the public to listen to them perform.”
