Two months ago, I was very pleased to visit and officially open ‘Confidence Through Learning,’ a new charity based in Bridgend, that aims to build confidence by encouraging learning and promoting the advantages of learning. The charity welcomes learners from all backgrounds, from 11 years old to 80 years old, no matter the circumstances or personal barriers. The charity will be supported by partners, Tyfu Training Ltd and Synergy Achievements.
There are many factors that can contribute towards a person’s disengagement. The charity offers a full diagnostic service, coaching and guidance to help learners discover who they are and what individual plans they need to make their lives a success. By providing learning packages tailored to the individual learner, the charity believes it can help people to have the confidence to believe they can succeed and to make more positive life choices.
CTL will pass on the enthusiasm for learning and support and guide people in their individual learning journeys. Indeed, by equipping people with the right tools to aim higher in life, people will then feel part of the community and not socially excluded from society.
