Next month, I will be supporting a special exhibition at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay by the Porthcawl Art Society who are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The exhibition will run from the 12th to the 18th September in the Oriel, at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay. There will also be a reception to promote their display. I am very much looking forward to welcoming the Porthcawl Art Society to the Senedd and to lend my support to the exhibition. Having the exhibition at the Senedd is a fantastic opportunity for the Art Society’s work to be showcased and to be seen by a wider audience.
The Art Society holds regular exhibitions at its home at the Old Police Station in John Street where people can visit and look at a variety of original paintings. Last December, I had the honour of choosing my favourite art work from the Art Society’s winter exhibition. It was a very difficult decision. They were all really good. After a lot of consideration, I eventually chose my winner, a picture of Newton Church in the snow painted by Wendy Davis-Williams. I liked the painting so much I bought it.
