ABMU Health Board held a drop in session at the ARC Centre, Bridgend which was attended by Bridgend AM, Carwyn Jones. He spoek to staff and members of the public who were in attendance and took the time to look through the exhibition boards and leaflets about ‘Changing for the Better’.
Bridgend AM Carwyn Jones said of the ABMU drop in, “I found the drop in session at the Arc centre extremely useful and thought provoking as did the many constituents who I met there. The people I met had taken the opportunity to find out more about the doctor driven ideas and to feed their meaningful concerns and constructive ideas to the ABMU health board.
There are a wide range of ways to engage in this process, with the recent engagement at the Arc centre being just one of many such events which are on-going throughout the Bridgend and Ogmore constituencies.
It would be helpful for people to fill in an online engagement form or attend one of the future drop in sessions to make the positive points for Bridgend becoming a regional centre. Clinicians have warned against scaremongering and I feel it is vital that residents take the time to properly engage in this process, ahead of the full consultation, set to be carried out by the health board next year.”
