Armed with a big box of Cadbury’s Roses, Bridgend AM Carwyn Jones and his constituency office staff paid their annual visit to the Royal Mail’s Bridgend Delivery Office in Tremains Road. The visit was an opportunity for Mr Jones to thank local postmen and women for their efforts and to pass on season’s greetings to the hardworking staff.
Mr Jones was met by Delivery Manager Robert Helyar and he spoke to him and the many postmen and women who were pulling out all the stops to sort and deliver mail in the local area over the Christmas period. The festive season is the Royal Mail’s busiest period as many people shop online for gifts and send Christmas cards and parcels.
Mr Jones said “I would like to thank all the postal workers for the lengths they go to in order to ensure that all these presents are safely delivered and that’s even before they start on the cards. Also let us not forget the excellent service they provide all year-round.”
