A number of my Porthcawl constituents have been asking me about progress on the proposed Primary Care Centre for Porthcawl. Since representatives from ABMU HB held their Public Exhibition on the 12th November 2015 in the town, a planning application by LSP Developments Ltd was received by Bridgend Council on the 24th November 2015. With the application lodged at the Council, there has been extensive consultation carried out on the proposal.
I know that opinion is divided on the proposed Primary Care Centre and that many of you will have made your own views known. Alongside Porthcawl residents’ views, Natural Resources Wales, South Wales Police and Welsh Water have also responded to the consultation.
A decision had been expected on the 20th January 2016 but the Planning Officer has asked for additional information. Once the additional information has been received a report will then be put together for Members of the Planning Committee who will decide this application. It is hoped that the planning application will be discussed by the Committee as early as the end of March but it will depend on whether there are any outstanding queries on the proposal.
