Bridgend AM Carwyn Jones joined the parishioners of Kenfig Hill today at a very special service of rededication and thanksgiving at St Theodore’s Church and Wellbeing Centre. The Bishop of Llandaff, the Rt Reverend June Osborne delivered the service.
St Theodore’s Church has recently re-opened following extensive alterations to its interior. This work has resulted in the creation of a flexible space which is now being utilised for a range of community activities. Together with their charity shop Theo’s, the parish is now able to serve the community seven days a week. In 2018, St Theodore’s Church secured National Lottery funding. The work has enabled St Theo’s to re-model the interior of the church to allow for greater use by the wider community.
Mr Jones said “It was a wonderful service and a great honour to attend. Inside the church it is a lovely space and it’s great to hear that community groups are already making use of the improved facility”.
