Vital Lottery funding supports projects across Bridgend

A number of community groups across Bridgend MS Carwyn Jones’ constituency have been given an extra boost this month thanks to National Lottery funding. As a result of Covid 19, many charities and community organisations across Wales are facing unprecedented challenges. In April, the National Lottery awarded over £5.1million to 164 charities and smaller voluntary led community projects across Wales the majority of which help people to support each other through the COVID-19 crisis.

Across Bridgend county borough National Lottery funding has been awarded to the Parish of Kenfig Hill-St Theodores Wellbeing Centre, The Bridge Mentoring Plus Scheme, Wildmill Youth Club, Bridgend Community Bereavement Support and Inc music ltd for their respective projects.

Mr Jones said “ We are living through uncertain and challenging times so this lottery funding for a number of community organisations in my constituency I know will be hugely welcome. The funding enables more people across my constituency to access support and help and will ensure that vital support services can continue”.
